Irina Pravikova LPC, LCADC
Therapist at Mackie and Pammie, LLC

The individuals that Irina works with, who are mostly dually diagnosed, have a variety of issues. Here are some of the most common ones: depression, anxiety, substance abuse and other addiction problems, personality disorders, behavioral issues in adolescents, suicidal ideations, codependency, self-esteem, PTSD, domestic violence, physical, sexual and emotional abuse. The individuals Irina works with are committed to treatment and the path of bettering themselves through utilization of a wholistic approach, such as new coping skills, meditation, mindfulness, achievement of realistic goals, treatment plan reviews and more.

Irina has been treating individuals with mental health and addiction problems since 2007. The most important thing during the initial sessions for Ms. Pravikova as a therapist is to build a rapport that promotes people to feel heard, safe and accepted without judgments. She uses a person-centered approach along with cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Irina's message to clients is that life can be difficult and hard to enjoy. It may feel like happiness and self-worth are lost in the ocean of negative emotions and constant struggles. It may feel that there is nobody out there to talk to, trust and be accepted. It doesn’t have to be this way! There is always a way out, always another perspective and always a chance for a different, better life!
